These terms apply when you use Unscripted Prayer, made by Digital Addenda in the United Kingdom. By using the app you agree to them.
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer or redistribute the app or its written content.
Everything you write and record stays yours. It is stored on your device and we claim no rights over it. We do not receive it, so we cannot use it, publish it or share it.
Purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds are Apple's decision, not ours. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If something has gone wrong, write to us anyway — we will help where we can.
Unscripted Prayer is a teaching and journalling tool. It is not pastoral care, counselling, therapy, or medical or mental health treatment, and it is not a substitute for any of them.
Some days ask you to think about difficult things — regret, anger, grief, forgiveness. You may skip any day, any question, or any part of a session. If you are struggling with your mental health, please speak to your GP or a qualified professional. If you are in crisis in the UK, you can call Samaritans on 116 123, free, at any hour.
Bible passages are taken from the World English Bible, which is in the public domain.
Use the app lawfully. Do not attempt to interfere with it, circumvent payment, or extract its content for republication.
We aim to keep the app working and to fix problems promptly, but we do not guarantee it will always be available or free of faults. Because your content is stored on your device, we cannot recover it if your device is lost, reset, or the app is deleted. Export a copy from Settings if it matters to you.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data stored on your device. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.
We may update these terms. Changes take effect when posted here, and material changes will be shown in the app.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales.
